DescriptionLetter to George Gordon, Edinburgh, from ‘H.D.’, Glengarry, regarding noise over bill granted by H.D.’s brother Old Moror to the late Kinlochmoydart and asking if Gordon can remember when H.D. was in Edinburgh at the end of May 1745, to prove the bill false, ‘by the last information I had of Mr Fiverigs: he was very near being drowned coming from North Uist to South Uist, for it seems the tide was coming in, and he was taken off the horse, but providentially he took hold of his tail, and the horse trailed him to land’, 4 March 1765
