DescriptionLetter to Alexander Gordon of Letterfourie from his nephew James Duff, London, concerning arrival of Montcoffer’s second son in an exhausted state, ‘there is cause to apprehend the eldest Brother is affected with the same Complaint’ and Duff now has to convey this news to the family, arrangements for sending the younger brother home, letters to Duff can be sent under cover to Lord Fife, Sir Hector Munro or George Skene, hoping he has enjoyed the Canary Journal, illness of Dr Geddes, illness of Dr Garden, his daughter is to be inoculated for the smallpox, 21 April 1788
