| Description | Letters from Colonel John Gordon IV of Cluny to his daughter Mary, and related papers. Mary was a sickly child but much beloved of her father who when he could not be with her wrote to her frequently until her death in 1833 just before her tenth birthday. Most of the letters here concern the purchase of a phaeton for her to ride out in for her health. The letters have been transcribed. |
