Description | Letter from Lieutenant Cameron of the Ross-shire Militia, being a copy of a letter that he had written to Colin Mackenzie Esq. Forwarding a copy of a Memorial that he had sent to the Duke of York on 7 June 1800, asking that he might be considered for a Commission in the Regular Army. He now asks for the support of Colonel Mackenzie in a renewed attempt to get the Duke of York to reconsider his case, which appeared to have been turned down by H.R.H. on account of the prospect of peace being concluded at an early date.
