Letters to the Trustees from J.G.C. Anderson, the first Wilson Fellow:
Letter of 13 November 1897 comprising a brief report on his activities in Phrygia; mentioning the restrictions imposed by the Graeco-Turkish war which compelled him to choose to work in areas of Phrygia and the borderlands. The areas worked in include the Lycos Valley, Appollonia, the district between Apameia and Lake Anava, the Pentapolis district and the probable line of the Roman road to Campus . Reports the discovery of the sites of Trapezapolis, Kidramos and other cities. He has also discovered new evidence on the question of the Laodicean rivers and on the location of various towns in the region. Additionally, he has collected a mass of new epigraphic material.
