DescriptionMiscellaneous "Hodden papers", that is, manuscript treatises, transcripts, poems and songs (these are copies made by Bishop Jolly on papers of interest, with a "Jacobite Notebook"), 18th century. Including:

Manuscript volume of Jacobite poems and devotional pieces compiled in Old Aberdeen and Fetternear, 1716-1721, including an "Elegy and lamentation over the kingdom of Scotland writ five months after the departure of the king", at Old Aberdeen, 8th July 1716.

Treatise "A Proposed Declaration of Faith in Nineteen Articles, by the Bishops and Clergy of the Scottish Episcopal Church." Undated.

Treatise by John Geddes "On purgatory, in answer to part of a letter written by the Reverend John Leith, 1767".

Treatise by John Alexander (subsequently Bishop of Dunkeld) "A Scheme of Catechetical Lectures or Plain and Practical Discourses in the method of the Church Catechism designed for the Introduction and Direction of his Small Flock in the way of Truth and Holiness so that they may at last by the Grace of God attain to Everlasting Happiness", Alloa, 1737.
