Administrative HistoryThe collections of the Highland Folk Museum, Am Fasgadh, were founded in Iona by Dr I F Grant, and transferred to Kingussie, c 1955, where the present museum was formed with support from the ancient Scottish Universities. In 1975, the museum was transferred to the custody of the newly-formed Highland Regional Council.

Taffy Davidson (1893 - 1976) was curator of the museum from c 1955 - c 1975, when it opened annually for a short summer season.
