Testimonials for the post of Medical Officer of Health, Keighley Council, from medical professors in the University of Aberdeen, July - August 1892. Includes a letter from Professor John Stuthers, Edinburgh, who apologises for not having sent his testimonial sooner on account of being very taken up with the work of the British Association; notes the existence of Public Health diplomas under the Medical Act of 1886 and states that he has 'done [his] best in the General Medical Council to make them genuine', but advises 'if you can get the appointment without one why should you trouble yourself to take one ?' He goes on to note that he is happy to be back in Edinburgh: 'You Aberdeen men often don't seem to know that Edinburgh is my real home, and the school where I was long a teacher before I went as a missionary to Aberdeen, - and I am now glad to be back to my old home.'
