DescriptionMarine observer forms, land observation forms, meteorological office and observatory reports, air observer forms, and Balfour Stewart Auroral Laboratory summary tables of gathered observations.

- Marine observations of tbe Aurora Borealis from O.W.S. Weather Explorer and Recorder, U.S. Weather Bureau, and S.S. Parthia, amongst others. Several observations from the Atlantic Ocean and observations of the Southern Aurora from waters around Australasia.
- Land and meteorological observations made from places in the West and East, including the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Poland and the Netherlands. Observations of Aurora Australis from the South, in particular from then-called Rhodesia. Several observations from Greenland.
- Air observations on routes to and from London, Glasgow, Eire, Northern Ireland, America and Canada.

Amongst the September data are several reports of an aurora on the night of the fourth of September and many diagrams of aurorae seen from Poland (100 geomagnetic longitude).
