Charter of the Empress Elisabeth I in Russian in favour of General Keit, with signatures, 4 October 1742
Together with handwritten note [undated, 19th c.] describing the above charter as "conferring a grant of 23 Gau [districts] in Muizui, Ronnenburg in the province of Wenden in Livonia, to the General of the 1st Life Guards, Lieutenant-Colonel Keit[h] for services rendered. It is subscribed by members of the Senate and is given at Moscow October 4th [Old Style] 1742. The Keith meant must be James Francis Edward, later Field-Marshal of Prussia", with later undated note giving bibliographic references to Keith's connection with the Empress |
