DescriptionJournal of Jonathan Troup: January to April 1792. He is settled in Cromar.

The county in general think his charges extravagant but he refused to lower them. Further comments that he charged too much were dismissed by Troup as 'being raised by the opposite party'
He mentioned meeting Archibald Farquharson of Finzean and talks of how his estate was managed
'Coldstone' was still using Dr Stewart instead of Troup and sending Dr Stewart to other sick folk
He treated Mr Maitland for a stomach nervous complaint
He read Scots Recuil (Edinburgh 1789) and quotes from it
He treated children with chincough
He compared Newton's life to Cromwell's and quotes in French from Voltaire
He quoted from a letter telling him his cousin was cured of madness by a doctor in Turriff
