DescriptionDilly is very sorry about Beattie's uneasiness about new edition of Minstrel. Blunders have arisen from misunderstanding, because Dilly was informed that Creech's edition was the last and most perfect [Poems on Several Occasions (1776)]. He has now procured edition of 1784, and encloses new version which is an exact copy. Dilly cannot allow Beattie to contribute to expese of reprinting
