Description
Dilly is very sorry about Beattie's uneasiness about new edition of Minstrel. Blunders have arisen from misunderstanding, because Dilly was informed that Creech's edition was the last and most perfect [Poems on Several Occasions (1776)]. He has now procured edition of 1784, and encloses new version which is an exact copy. Dilly cannot allow Beattie to contribute to expese of reprinting
