Administrative History	Mrs M Wright. Of a family of Lawton in Perthshire, and apparently a cousin of Beattie. Beattie sometimes visited them, and Margaret Valentine took Montagu to stay with them
Description	Her bereavement and Beattie's sympathy. Tears of gratitude at his letter. Always happy at being his relation. Concern at Beattie's health, but does not believe there is the least danger in it. Asks that King's College should subscribe to Dr Playfair's book, and that Beattie should write letter of introduction to Dr Johnson for him. Reference to scarcities - less severe there
