| Description | Thanks nephew for letter of 23 April with good news of relatives and improvement in business in spite of last year's epidemic; reports outbreak of severe type of influenza in district; will welcome visit from Mrs Leslie and her daughter Grace if they accompany nephew to Scotland shortly; asks if any of the boys are to attend school in Britain; advises nephew not to discuss James Leslie's political views' of which writer disapproves, to attend strictly to business and honour his contract to remain in Canada for some time longer. |
