Taken at Pitsligo by James Fraser .P. on appearance of Johm Arbuthnot, younger , of Carendgall[or Tarendgall] as procurator for Andrew Fraser of staneywood, at the place of Pitsligo, the dwelling of Alex. Forbes, eldest son of John Forbes of Pitsligo and intimated that in consequence of disposition etc. to Staneywood by Alex. Fraser, sometime of Durris, and his sons, of lands and barony of cairnbulg disponed to them by Sir Alex. Fraser of Fraserburgh and assignation following of 2 April 1620 to Staneywood of all letters of reversion etc. thereto & in particular any from said Alex. and John Forbes by payment to them of 8942 merks principal and 449 merks fees for apprising at kirk of Aberdour on 2 June 1620 when Forbes, father and son, are to grant renunciations and discharges on redemption.. Premonition given formally before witnesses and copy left with as the Forbes were not present personally.The witness was apparently Alex. Forbes of Boyndie, another Walter Forbes, pedagogue to said Alex. Forbes. see 296/34 where date is 9 May..
