Skene, clerk depute of Sir George Hay of Netherly, clerk register, at Edinburgh on 7 Sept. 1616. Granted following on non fulfillment of contract of 26 May 16.... between Sir Alex. Fraser & cautioners and Alex. Fraser, fiar of Durris & his elder son & heir Robert Fraser respecting Ardley, Boigheid, Cowburtie,Brigend, Urinall, Badizell in parish of Aberdour & barony of Phillorth & also Carnbulg in parish of Rathen & in special clause of warrandice of Carnbulg during lifetime of Elizabeth Maxwell & during apprising thereof by John Forbes of Pitsligo and feus of Fraserburgh - two infeftments blench of Sir Alex. & taxward of his superior by resignation or confirmation. Infeftment seemingly not carried out. Execution on 28 Aug 1616 by messenger Robert Dalgleish of above on Sir Alex. Fraser is given in dorso, followed by a second at mercat cross of Edinburgh putting Alex to the horn on 7 Sept 1616 by John Laing. - this registered at Edinburgh on same day by Alex. Skene. Old refs.
