| Description | Irving is to lend Fraser £2000 Sc. and in return be infeft in the third part of Mains of Durris presently occupied and laboured by said Alexander with salmon fishing on south side of the water of Dee in barony of Durris [some names given], with two charters and precepts of sasine (one of Fraser) in fee blenche for 1d. Sc. and the other of his immediate superior by eresignation and conformation for feuduty as astricted to superiors.Numerous clauses re conditions of wadset and procuratory of registration are included. Duly signed and witnessed. In dorso is discharge by Alex. Fraser of Durris at Aberdeen on 17 May 1608 to Wm. Irving for within £2,000 Sc., without prejudice to obligation of that date to Fraser by Irving and cautioners (Wm. Gordon of Kennertie and John Douglas of South Barras) foe a further 2000 merks payable Whit. 1609. |
