Fraser of Phillorth and Fraserburgh, respecting two crofts of land - croft of the brigend of Ardley and over croft of Cuburtie, as occupied by the said Alex. In barony of Phillorth, as in charter of feuferm granted by Fraser, redeemable for 800 merks and a letter of tack for 2 years from date of redemption for yearly payment of £40 Scots and 2 dozen capons. Certification (as parties could not write) is made by notaries Magnus Ogstoun and John Simpson, which is duly witnessed. Registration in secretary's register of sheriffdom of Aberdeen is recorded on 10 July 1603 at foot of manuscript by Thomas Nicolson, clerk depute, in the absence of James Mowat.
