| Description | Letter sent with documents lent to Lord Lovat by Col. Fraser of Inverallochy in 1854 [during Lovat peerage case] now returned, which apparently included instrument of resignation of Inverallochy in favour of Simon, Lord Fraser of Lovat of 19 Dec 1616, with crown charter of resignation following of 20 Dec. 1616 and unregistered instrument of sasine of 27 Jan. 1617.
Another instrument of resignation was still held in House of Lords archives till proceedings in House of Lords were formally terminated. |
