| Description | Extract of Decreet of Adjudication (5.5 sheets), Wm. Grant [?younger] of Conglass against Charles, Lord Fraser [beginning of first sheet with date and other particulars now missing]. Lord Fraser being required to pay sums due & still unpaid from lands granted by his father , the late Andrew, Lord Fraser (1) to Wm. Grant, elder of Conglass, the pursuer's father of 12 Feb. 1667 - 1307 merks plus interest since Mart. 1673 assigned to son on 28 Aug. 1668; (2) £800 Sc. && interest since Mart. 1673 on heritable land by Andrew, Lord Fraser to Robt. Skeen, master of the Grammar School, Aberdeen, of 11 Junn 1673 assigned 8 Grant on 6 May 1675; (3) 1000 merks + interest from Whit. 1673 to Rachel Stewart, spouse to James Brown, merchant in Aberdeen ( sometiome she being servant to Andrew, Lord Fraser) of 30 June 1671 assigned to Grant on 29 Apr. 1675; (4) £184:12:- Sc. + interest since Mart 1670 in bond to Alex Skeen of Newtyle, late baily of Aberdeen, dated 21 Jan. 1671 assigned to Grant on 14 Aril 1675. Pursuer had retained letters of special charge to enter heir against Charles, now Lord Fraser & his tutors or curators which had been executed on 11 &13 Apr.1676 in order to allow proceedings for obtaining decreet of adjudication - deed then lists lands re pertaining heritability to the late Andrew Lord Fraser to which Charles, Lord Fraser could be entered heir- barony of Muchall & lands of Cairnbulg in barony of Phillorth, Innernorth etc. etc. Over and Nether Kinmundie. Adjudication given in \Grant's favour in respect of said lands which are topertain to him until payment is received of total debt of £3764:5:4 Sc. with infeftment of the Crown - defenders not appearing to answer charges. In dorso of sheets 4 &5 is record at Edinburgh on 9 Aug. 1676 of consideration by Lords of Council & Session of written decreet & judgement regarding expeding of infeftment etc signed by James [?] Faulis & .....
