DescriptionLetters of reversion granted by George Baird on the shadow third of Cowburtie, in barony of Phillorth, respecting redemption of sum of 1200 merks with a years tack after redemption for 24 bolls victual, 6 geese, 12 capons, 12 poultry, 1 mart, 2 bolls horse corn, 20 steaves straw, wintering of 1 beast, winning easting and leading of peats to Fraserburgh Phillorth, service in harvest and at other times etc. Granted by George Baird, (styled as brother of Gilbert Baird of Auchmedden) to Sir Alexander Fraser of Fraserburgh and Phillorth, knight. Witnesses named at signing at "Inverlethe" [?Inverallochy] were: Walter and James Fraser, brother and son of Sir Alexander Fraser, John Kenadie, servitor [? To Baird], and Alex. ?, servitor [? To Baird], James Burnet, writer thereof, and John? Simpson, N.P.
Registration is recorded in secretary's register of sheriffdom of Aberdeen on 4 January 1601 by David? More, clerk depute thereof at Aberdeen. Place name now Cobutie.
