DescriptionInstrument of sasine taken at the manor place of Muchell and on the ground of lands named by William Bruce, clerk in the diocese of Aberdeen, N.P. of compearange of James Fraser, chamberlain to and on behalf of Dame Catherine fraser, relict of the deceased Robert, Viscount of Arbuthnott with marriage contract containing precept of sasine of 1658 between Andrew, Lord Fraser and her in which she assigned to him her conjunct fee & liferent rights in any lands in which she was infeft or have right to from heirs of the late Sir John Sinclair of Dumbreck or maillers or duties thereof or @ rents due her furth thereof as in her matrimonial contract between Sir John and her & also in liferent rights claimed from heirs of Robert Viscount of Arbuthnot as in marriage contract with him and also all goods, gear, cattle etc. and money belonging to her in Scotland or where she is infeft. Lord Fraser on his part promises she will be infeft in liferent of Mains of Muchell etc. with multures and beir meall etc. [?] from river and Nether Voinm---- [?] in parish of Cluny and sheriffdom of Aberdeen with tiendsheaves thereof, but if granted 24 chalders victual yearly of 100 merks in lieu & services she would give up rights to manor place of Muchall etc.. Notary's sign,etc. On parchment in Old Sc. 2 holes in middle of MS.
