Reid as procurator for John Donaldson, now of Hiltoune, of bond by Donaldson granted at Aberdeen on 30 March 1638 in favour of John Gordon sometime of Hiltoune & fiar of Buckie (and his mother Beatrix Urquhart and his wife. Jean Scott) for 20,000 merks (with clauses in favour of ladies respecting liferent of interest in return for renunciations & ratifications granted). Mention made of inhibition raised at instance of Francis Hay W.S.gainst John Gordon ?elder of Buckie for 8,000 merks as caution for laird of Cromerlie.
