| Description | Scroll of charter by William Erskine of Pittodrie, patron of St. Mary's Chapel of Garioch and superior of the chapel lands, etc.with consent of his eldest son Thomas, in favour of Sir James Elphinstone of Logie, bart., in liferent and to his son, John, advocate, and heirs male of him and his spouse, Mary Elliot, etc., respecting church or chapel lands of Chapel of Garioch, Meikle Wartle with half of the mill, multures, etc. in parish in parish of Rayne and regality of Garioch (except manse and glebe) which had belonged to deceased Aled. Elphinstone of Warthill from William Erskine's deceased father Thomas Erskine of Pittodrie immediately holding them, sold to James Elphinstone of Logie on 20 June 1696, thence to Sir James Elphinstone of Logie on 16 Dec. 1669 [sic] registeredon 15 Oct. 1702. Numerous other transactions in 1705 are deatiled together with several of later date, including infeftment, resignation, etc., provision for descent to eledest heir female if need be (with assumption of name of Elphinstone).Includes precept of sasine.
