Description | A collection of William Kelly's research photographs, which are broadly arranged into locations. These images are from various locations across Britain and a small number of international locations. The photographs have been taken by a number of photographers, which have not always been identified. George Washington Wilson (referred to as GWW) and James Valentine (referred to as J.V) views are among the photographers represented in this collection. It is unclear if Kelly himself captured any of the images. All the images are in black and white, a small number are mounted but most views remain as loose prints. Views which have handwritten remarks or notes are referred to as - annotated. Views which are stamped with a photographers title are referred to as - captioned. The majority of the photographs are undated, the majority of the dated photographs are from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century, with four dated pre 1900. |
