| Description | These sketchbooks are mainly working documents created by William Kelly, however four of the books belong to Charles Carmichael, three to William Smith, and one to John Smith (mainly used as a notebook rather than for sketches). The authorship of these sketchbooks is not always clear due Kelly re-using a number of sketchbooks which previously had been used by Carmichael and Smith. These sketchbooks cover various locations and subject matter all relating to Architecture. |
