Respecting expiry of leases on the proper[ty] of the Duke of Richmond in the district and granting of new ones, mainly to sitting tenants, and figures given to the assessor regarding rentals under the Lands Valuation Act. If obliged to return 1861 rental for this year's roll for both new and sitting tenants and rates and taxes are chargeable for this year on the new rental, the Duke would have to pay on more rent than he is receiving - advice requested. 7 July 1860.
