DescriptionNotarial copy made at Edinburgh by Robert Menzies, N.P. and Colin Campbell, N.P., on 30 August 1694, duly witnessed, of disposition granted by Alexander Bothwell, younger of Glencorse, in favour of Alexander Bothwell, merchant burgess of Edinburgh, the eldest son of himself and his spouse, Jannet Trotter, (in implement of the terms of his own marriage contract) respecting lands and barony of Glencorse, property and superiority thereof [details given], except the lands of ? Cuikine and reserving liferent to himself of all apart from eastside of Greenlaw reserved during wife's lifetime - numerous clauses regarding infeftment, bonds of relief, debts, etc., provision for younger children, with precept of sasine; signed at Edinburgh before witnesses on 21 September 1688.
