| Source | The volume was presented to the library by Sir Ian Forbes-Leith of Fyvie in 1938. Ian Forbes-Leith was born in 1902 and educated at Eton. He served in the Second World War and was mentioned in dispatches and awarded the MBE. He was Justice of the Peace for the County of Aberdeen, and from 1959 was Lord Lieutenant of the county. He was awarded an honorary LL.D by the University of Aberdeen in 1967, and was created a Knight in 1972. He died in 1973. |
