DescriptionMemorandum in the handwriting of 4th Duke of Atholl in which he gives a summary of propositions in which he believes Pitt to have acquiesced respecting Manx affairs and Atholl's share therein, including: importation of British beer and spirits under clause in 'Hodge-Podge Act', the settlement of part of surplus revenue on Atholl family, the rest to be used for the benefit of the Isle of Man, the drafting by the island legislature under the duke's direction of a bill respecting imports for consideration by the British government, compensation promised to duke from Irish funds, the provision of sums for repair of Manx public buildings and payment to next Lieutenant Governor when present one retires.
