Promises to assist young sailor Kilgour to whom Gordon had given letter of introduction should he obtain a ship on return to London. He is forwarding accounts which he discusses and comments on crop prospects, quality of sugar, and related matters. Second letter, dated 20 April 1788, from Francis Grant, Jamaica to Charles Gordon (as above). He hopes for good crop on Georgia estate if rain comes soon and reports on shipping of sugar and rum. |
