Description | 3 letters [duplicates] written by Francis Grant, Georgia and Spanishtown, Jamaica to Charles Gordon. Letter of 24 July 1782 but not that of 24 April has been received. Grant was unwell in November but reports estate to be thriving and details amount of crop. Scarcity of shipping has made disposal difficult and expensive. Prospects for 1783 crop are better although building expenses are high. By January new boiling house was finished and in February report is given of sugar being shipped to London.
