| Administrative History | William Paine graduated BA from Harvard in 1768. By 1775 he was Army surgeon, and was awarded an M.D. by Marischal College, Aberdeen. He became a Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians in 1781 and by 1784 was physician to the forces on the North American Station. |
