The earliest document in this series is the 'visitation and reformation of College' by Chancellor Bishop William Gordon from 1549. The later material includes: the commission granted by King James VI in 1619; the principal acts of visitation also in the name of King James VI; a commission under the Great Seal granted by King Charles II; and the principle acts of visitation by the General Assembly of Scotland. |
