Description | Contract between Dr. William Chalmers, physician in Aberdeen, and William Ross. By the terms of this agreement, William Ross was apprenticed to Dr. Chalmers for a period of 5 years, as a 'house servant and apprentice', receiving the sum of three hundred merks. Chalmers was to 'provide and maintain him in board and lodging' and 'teach and instruct in him in all and everything relating to his business and employment'. |
